One of the most important parts of choosing a place to go out to is the interior vibes. You know, how the decor and furniture all come together to give you the best impression of why you love that spot. Well, for blog week, Beers in Your Backyard wanted to share our favorite spots that have the best atmosphere so you know the next time you’re looking for those fun vibes.
High Point, NC
There are many fun bars and hangout spots all across the Triad that many people enjoy. In my opinion, there is just one that has a top-notch atmosphere. My absolute favorite place to go hang out at on the weekends would be 1614, formerly known as Afterhours which is located on North Main Street, in High Point NC. 1614 has two sections to it, when you first walk in you’ll see a few pool tables, dart boards, and a really cool punching bag arcade game. To the left side of the establishment, there are tables and booths (for rent) and the dance floor the distance from the stage. The best part though is the bar that is right in the middle and is shaped like a U so there’s plenty of room for people to order drinks and stand.
Thursday nights are my favorite time to go to 1614 as it is their college night and the place gets packed with HPU students who are 21 and older. I love that there are two sides to 1614 because if I want more of a chill vibe, I’ll go to the pool tables, but when I’m ready to party, I’ll be having the best time with my friends on the dance floor. Overall going to 1614 is the best part of every weekend I go because everyone is just dancing, playing games and just vibing with friends. I love 1614!
Greensboro, NC
Another great bar in the triad is Craft City Sip In. Our final podcast episode was on their great establishment. They have the number two spot on Trip Advisors' list of top bars in Greensboro. The rustic vibe of the place brings a unique twist to a popular bar to hang out at. From the brick walls to the cool beer taps, this place has got it all and it’s so cool how they pay so close attention to detail.
Winston-Salem, NC
The last great bar in the Triad is Roar located in Winston-Salem. When I tell you my jaw dropped when I saw this place, I am not kidding. From the sports simulators to the beer wall and even just the seating is full-blown amazing. The live music they have really sets a nice tone to the place and makes it feel very welcoming. As there is something to do for everyone, the atmosphere of the establishment is top-tier. Everything incorporated into it was very well thought out and organized making it one of the top places I recommend checking out!
These three places have their own unique style, feel, and overall vibe which is what makes them so great. There is a place for everyone which is very amazing.
